SmartEmailing is an email marketing tool. With this integration, you can set up data exports to SmartEmailing from forms on your website. This lets you start building things like a contact database for your newsletter.

You can connect SmartEmailing under Settings > Integrations and API. After that, you can connect it to specific forms on your website.

Connecting to SmartEmailing

You'll find the SmartEmailing connection under Settings > Integrations and API, in the Exports and CRM section. After clicking the "Connect" button, you'll need to enter your API Key and Username.

API key

You can get your API key in the SmartEmailing admin:

  1. In the left sidebar, open Settings > Data Sources > API Keys

  2. Click "Create API key" and fill in its name and validity

  3. Copy the generated key and paste it into the solidpixels admin (note: once saved, the full key can no longer be displayed, so make sure to copy it right when you create it)

Username

Your username is the email address you're registered with in SmartEmailing. You'll find it under Settings > User > Personal settings.

Enabling SmartEmailing export for a specific form

Once SmartEmailing is connected to solidpixels, the export option will appear for individual forms under Block Settings > Exports > Add export. If everything's connected correctly, once you enable the export, form data should start appearing in the SmartEmailing admin.

List ID

Once SmartEmailing is connected correctly, the export settings for a specific form will also show a "List ID" dropdown menu. Here, you can choose which list in SmartEmailing the form data will be exported to. You can edit your lists in the SmartEmailing admin under Contacts and lists > Lists and segments.

Connecting for version 2.69 and earlier

Go through the older integration method

Data export is set up per specific form. To configure the export to SmartEmailing, you'll need your username, API key, and List ID:

  1. Click the form you want to export data from

  2. In the top right corner of the form, select Settings

  3. Go to the Exports tab and turn on the SmartEmailing export

  4. A new tab for export settings will appear

  5. Enter the email you used to register as your username

  6. Fill in your API key and List ID

  7. These three fields are enough to export form data to SmartEmailing. If you need to enable double opt-in confirmation, fill in the remaining fields too, see enabling double opt-in confirmation

Where to find your API key?

You can get your API key in the SmartEmailing admin:

  1. In the top navigation, select My account and continue to API keys and integrations

  2. Click the "Create API key" button

  3. Copy the generated key into the export settings in your website admin

Where to find the List ID?

You can find the List ID in the SmartEmailing admin:

  1. In the left menu, select Contacts and lists, then continue to Contact lists

  2. Here you'll find all your contact lists, including their IDs

Enabling double opt-in confirmation

If you want to use double opt-in confirmation, create an email with a confirmation link and fill in the remaining fields:

  1. In the export settings, enter the Confirmation email ID

  2. Based on your SmartEmailing setup, fill in the sender's email and name for the opt-in email, and the reply-to address

Where to find the opt-in email ID?

You can find the opt-in email ID in the SmartEmailing admin:

  1. In the left menu, select Campaigns and continue to the Emails tab

  2. In the list, you'll find all your emails, including their IDs
