How do we choose the browsers we support?

In general, the browser support threshold for web pages is set at 1% of the global extension (see statistics). In practice, however, websites on solidpixels can be viewed in a much wider range of browsers. For very old browsers, however, we cannot guarantee 100% functionality of the website, as feature development is moving forward and it is not possible to maintain all versions backwards.

Advantages of modern browsers:

• Speed - current browsers emphasize speed and performance
• Support - we test the platform in modern browsers to provide the best possible service
• Innovation - always new features that can be used right away

List of supported browsers

Modern browsers are updated automatically, so there is no need to deal directly with specific versions. Web pages are best displayed in the latest versions of these browsers, which include all the major players (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari).

Problematic situations can therefore arise especially if you are using an older operating system (e.g. Windows 8 and older). We recommend that you do not turn off automatic updates so that you always have the most up-to-date version.

• Opera (15+, from this version onwards uses Chrome as the core)

Overview of mobile browsers

We support all major browsers used on Android and iOS devices. In the mobile world, support is mainly related to the version of the operating system:

• iOS 13+
• Android 10+

Older versions will display the site, but we do not guarantee full functionality.

What about support in the administration?

The solidpixels administration is a sophisticated combination of many technologies that, in order to maintain a high level of user-friendliness, technical security and development of new features, require regular updates. Therefore, support for outdated browsers in the administration is regularly updated, and is overall less than that of the entire site.

The administration interface works best in the latest versions of modern browsers, which include all major players (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari). Login to the administration is only available for desktop computers for now.

How do I upgrade to a newer browser?

Browser manufacturers regularly introduce new versions that provide new features, improved interfaces or security enhancements.

In general, it is desirable to move with the times and keep software up to date, not only on computers but also on mobile devices. This will ensure that all modern features are available and maximum security is maintained. We recommend the following browsers:

If the manufacturer no longer offers a newer version of the application for your system, you can still try switching to another browser. As a last resort, you may need to upgrade your operating system.
